Lead Audiologist

Rochelle Ughetti is the Lead Paediatric Audiologist at Melbourne Hearing Care Clinic, bringing over 17 years of clinical leadership, along with both operational and project management experience to the role. She holds a Master of Clinical Audiology (CCP) and a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from The University of Melbourne, along with postgraduate qualifications from the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Rochelle’s expertise spans paediatrics, newborn hearing screening, adult diagnostics, vestibular assessment, and adult hearing rehabilitation. She has a particular interest in diagnostic audiology and is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs.

Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Rochelle has been instrumental in leading strategic and operational improvements across Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics (MTHC). She recently oversaw a major IT system implementation and has contributed to initiatives aimed at streamlining services, enhancing the patient experience, and supporting the clinical education of students. Rochelle is currently completing the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) qualification through the Project Management Institute, further strengthening her leadership in healthcare project delivery.

Rochelle is deeply committed to developing patient-centred services through collaborative partnerships and culturally responsive care. She led the establishment of the Yappera Children’s Audiology Clinic in Thornbury and continues to support the development of new services across MTHC.

In addition to her work in healthcare, Rochelle is a professional musician with a background in chamber music and ensemble leadership. When she’s not in clinic, she can often be found performing on the violin with Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and Trio Anima Mundi.
